Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
This is an anti-intellectual. There is a popular anti-intellectual movement right now, you know, the “leaders, not readers”. They use sick propogandistic rhetoric to heavily influence uneducated minds, convincing them that their uneducation is a pure American value. As intellectualism becomes more and more stigmatized among mass groups of people, they:
Anyone who is not an anti-intellectual knows that the vast majority of the Bible is obsolete in this day and age. I mean, it is kind of frowned upon to sell your daughter into slavery, kill wives when their husbands cheat on them, and bash babies heads against rocks. But do anti-intellectuals know that the Bible preaches this stuff? Probably not, because they are not encouraged to read the Bible. That’s the point. They aren’t encouraged to read much of anything. Those who do not understand the truth are the easiest to control. Anti-intellectualism is just another agent of control on the masses. Through anti-intellectualism, the patriarchy perpetuates. Through anti-intellectualism, homophobia lingers. Because of anti-intellectuals in government, bills that shouldn’t pass due to their unconstitutionality or oppressive indications do. Oppression will be sold as freedom to the naive and they will not even know it. If they knew of history, class warfare, media manipulations, power struggles, religious control, they wouldn’t vote against their own future; their own kids. But they do, because unthinking is cool.
